Kyoto is probably the best place to start getting
to know Japan. From the very old temples to the very new Kyoto station. You may wonder
what is special about a railway station - you will be knocked out! It is also very central
for Nara, Kobe, Nagoya, also the Akashi Kaikyo bridge the longest of it's type in the
world. At Tokushima the Otsuka Museum of Art has over 1000 copies of old masters and even
has a full size copy of the Sistine Chapel ceiling and walls. The Miho museum at Shigaraki is another
marvel. Also Osaka is near but don't go there unless you like fish - it has the largest
aquarium in the world! Not much else!
