WHERE TO STAY
On your first visit unless you are meeting someone it is probably best to stay in the
Tokyo area. A good place to stay for 4500yen/night is
The Lutel. 1-1 Ichigaya, Sadoharacho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 162. Phone 0081
(03) 3260 8621
There are 2 Ichygaya stations, one is JR and the other a subway station (there are 2
underground systems in Tokyo). The following lines serve either station. JR: Chuo Line.
Subway: Shinjuku line or Yurakucho line.
It is best to book as it is a popular place. It has the following facilities:
* Air-conditioning
* Cooking & laundry facilities
* International telephone
* Communal baths
* No curfew |
Another address but one that I have not stayed at is:
Mr Kaz Enomoto
The Tokyo Anabaptist Centre,
2-1-17 Honan, Suginami-ku, Shinjuku. 168-0062
Phone 03 3311 4277
Email: anabap@gol..comThis is in the same
area as the Lutel but I do not have a map or other details. The price of a nights lodging
is the same as the Lutel at 4500 yen. |
